Credit Goals

As a consumer, your credit report and score are ever-changing and likely always in need of improvement. Perhaps your score is a 600 or less and you are feeling despair. Maybe your score is a 650 to 700 and you would like to bump it up to grab a low interest deal. Regardless of your situation, good or bad-You should set credit goals. Having an idea of where you want your credit to be will help you reach your credit goals.

You can even improve a good score.
If you have a decent score but want to improve it further, your goals may be to keep an eye on your spending so you are not tempted to take out a credit card you cannot afford. You might want to tighten your budget a bit so that you can continue to keep accounts open and not drown in debt or open one new type of credit that you do not have to diversify your credit report.

Improve your credit over time.
You may want to target some accounts that are very much in the red so you can pay them off and close them if you can no longer handle it. You should be reasonable when you make these goals, though; you cannot expect a score to improve by a hundred points or more in a year. Target specific accounts or black marks on your report, and give yourself a firm but sensible time frame in which to fix things.

ICC will try to help you figure out what your credit report needs and help you meet your credit goals through credit repair. Whether you want to be able to afford a fancy car, set up a college fund or just be part of the percentage of people who has a credit score of 700 or higher, you can reach your goals.
