Credit Card Tips

Make Early Payments
Make payments on your credit card bill early to lower the overall monthly interest. Even paying some of the balance will lower the interest you are charged when you receive your monthly bill. Obviously your credit card bill will be set up to bill you monthly but making payments early help you maintain your debt.

Day 7

I am very proud to say, I have completed my Cooking from Home for 1 full week. While it was an adjustment and made me realize I need to add more variety to my cooking I am very happy!

Day 6

I have one more day to go cooking from home and am pleased with my efforts today. I had a great day and enjoyed my meals. Preparing and cleaning up after the cooking has been an adjustment, I also wasn't counting on going through as many garbage bags and cleaning supplies/paper towels for the stove, sink, table, fridge and garbage can.  But so far I have managed to cook from home for one week for $80!

Day 5

I have successfully cooked from home for 5 days. I am going to go for two more days and make it a full week ambitions. I do have enough food in my fridge- if I eat the same things I have been eating the last 5 days.

Day 4

You will notice that I cooked chicken on the first night of cooking at home. I cooked the rest of the chicken today which made my lunch and dinner. The one thing I was not counting on was that my bread was moldy. I realized I should have Frozen some which would have made the loaf last.

Day 3

I was not sure if I would be able to keep to my commitment of eating only what I purchased at the store during the weekend. So far, on Saturday I actually got lucky. I was invited to my sisters for lunch. A surprise free lunch! I was also invited out with my friends but I do not want to spend extra money right now. So far Saturday has been my cheapest day of eating at home!

Day 2

It is day two of cooking from home three times a day. It is not easy in the morning for me. I really liked having someone else bring me my coffee and an omelet. But I keep telling myself I always spend $6 to $11 dollars on breakfast which is about $200 a month.
It would be better to spend that $200 on a bill! So I found the strength to put a waffle in the toaster.

Day 1

Today is my first day of eating only what I purchased from my grocery shopping list last night. No more stopping for coffee or a drive-thru even if it is just 1$. No more getting a craving and pulling over for a treat!  You can save money by cooking at home regardless of your diet preferences!

Groceries for the Week!

I need to spend less money and save more. I cannot believe how much money I spend on food. There must be a way to feed myself without getting depressed over the amount of money I spend on food. I am going to try to incorporate a shopping list, coupons and a strict course of action, to see if this saves me money significantly. Follow my Coupon Trial and let's hope I discover a trail to cheaper groceries.
