Unemployment Statistics

 The U.S. Bureau of Labor of Statistics released a report in March of 2010 with current unemployment statistics.
 

It is shocking to read the numbers and even a little discouraging but you must learn about this. Here are just a few Unemployment statistics, as explained in the report that concern the entire United States.


1.The Unemployment rate totals 9.7%  for the U.S.

2.The hiring of temporary workers for the Census 2010, increased Federal employment numbers.

3.Employment declined in financial jobs.

4.The number of unemployed persons total 15.0 million.

5. Household unemployment breakdown:
 
    Adult men 10%

    Adult Women 8%

    Teenagers 26.1%

    Whites 8.8%

    Blacks 16.5%

    Hispanics 12.6%

    Asians 7.5 %

6. People without a job for 27 weeks or more increased by 414,000 in March.

7. The number of persons working part time increased to 9.1 million in March
